Saw the Princess and the Frog. Although I had my 3 year old niece there and had to leave during the movie about 3 times, I loved what I saw. I feel it will definitely be a Disney Classic, up there with The Lion King, Little Mermaid, all that goodness. It was fantastic to see some traditional animated movies from Disney again...

It's got me thinking about going back to college. This time actually seeking something in regards to a career of animation...Not really sure where to go though..

Background Setting -- I mean if you want me to draw your character in the middle of a forest or on the beach or something. I won't charge if you just want like...hearts or rainbows everywhere for the background. XD

Me and my cousin hung around the Artist Alley on Friday...we met . She was really nice. Really, really nice. And fun to talk to. XD I got an awesome Hiei commission out of her. I probably would've suggested Leon but someone happened to mention YYH and she said she remembered how to draw Kurama and Hiei from the top of her head so I went with Hiei. We called it 'Bitchin Hiei' cause he's all angry, of course. XD

But anyways, I told her that me and my cousin were aspiring manga/anime artists so...she wanted to see our work. XD; She seemed happy with what we had to show though...and encouraged us to go ahead and try to get a table next year. OwO; I'm. Really. Shy. You have no idea. Even at an anime convention I still find it hard to come out of my shell...D: But Sam's all up to the idea of getting a table for next year's Izumicon...It's a small con, but I am considering it.......I would need to draw A LOT more though. And probably draw more fan art. D: Cause everyone says it's hard to sell original stuff cause people just want NARUTO!1! and whatever else is popular. Sucks cause I...don't really care about Naruto. Haven't seen Gurren Lagann...or Code Geass...I'm just not in with the current anime franchise anymore. orz

But anyways, other highlights of the con...Saturday, and her boyfriend sat at a table and offered Free Advice. XD It's amazing how many people actually come for Free Advice too! Katt and Alex are really good with that and people seem to really enjoy it.

We also met ! We didn't talk too much Saturday, but we (me and Sam) hung out a lot today. We ate at Waffle House, hung out in the Artist Alley, talked to some artists there (who were also uber nice! So many awesome people!) then we went to Shibby's place to chill and play PS2/eat pizza/watch TV. It was fun, he's a nice guy! BEFRIEND HIM He showed us A LOT of his art (so much he doesn't put on DA XD) and I'm really impressed actually.

He likes a lot of the same series/games we do too. And omg. I know no one else would care about this but he had the Tales of Destiny PS2 Remake: Director's Cut that comes with all the Leon goodness. T_T It's so pretty...I was so jealous!

Played a little Persona 4...I'm interested now. =O



Couldn't find D:! We made signs and were calling out "SHEELLBBYY" but no success. D: Happy late Birthday! I hope you like your gift, which I will somehow get to you!



Meeting all these people really inspires me to really try and get back into my art...I think it's some great motivation I've long since needed. I'm really glad I went to Izumicon...although I wish more of my friends could've come..! I miss you guys.

I think I'm gonna go ahead and chillax for a while now...been out and about all weekend. Literally. XD Time to watch some more old DBZ episodes (I bought more boxsets~ Yay for Suncoast table having good buys~)
