I guess first things first.
LUNAR Awakening, my crap fanfiction of a "Lunar 3", is going on uber hiatus. Uber as in I'm so close to just saying "yeah, no more. ever." but I don't have the heart to fully discontinue that little "project". Oh where to begin.
I've had the idea for it for such a long time, very slowly planning it out and whatnot. But it was hard for me to really keep getting into it I guess...because I think probably...3 people read what I have written of it? I'm not even sure. And I'm not mad about that or anything. No one
knows what Lunar is, so I honestly never expected it to ever get attention. Ever.
And even to Lunar fans...I don't know. I just have the feeling that...most actual Lunar fans (at least ones on Lunar-net forums.....) just don't care for fan-made Lunars. It's like, someone posts a drawing of their Lunar fan-character and the response is "hm. yeah. moving on." I dunno...I'm sure all the people there are probably more hardcore about Lunar than I am...and some reason, they really intimidate me...that's why I'm hardly even a member there...I've never bothered to share anything of LUNAR Awakening with them...LA is only shared through pictures on DA and as the actual fanfic on ff.net.
One of the main reasons for me wanting to create LUNAR Awakening so badly is because I thought Lunar was dying. For the longest time, there was nothing new for Lunar...until Dragon Song came, and shed some light. Of course, then we learned that Dragon Song was utter shit and wasn't going to help Lunar at all. So I kept to LA, hoping it would at least be better than DS. Now that Silver Star Harmony is almost among us (and it's looking pretty damn good...gameplay very similar to SSSC. major plus there.) a lot of fans have been given the hope that this will revitalize the Lunar series for real this time...I have so much faith and hope in this new game, I swear to god I better not be disappointed.
Still, its this faith in the Lunar series that I also believe we may finally see another remake of Eternal Blue, (maybe the off-chance of Magic School) as well as an actual Lunar 3...
It's this faith...I feel like I don't have to do LA anymore...that maybe my hope for more Lunar will come at last.
I'm probably not making much sense...I'm really bad with words, sorry. But I guess the bottom line is...I don't want to do LA anymore, for the time being. If some reason PSP Lunar is another letdown and I feel all hope for Lunar is lost again, maybe I'll get the kick to try again. But for now, I'm going to wait and see what happens...
I don't know if I'll draw the characters as much anymore...a shame really. I've grown fond of quite a few of them. (Zack and Silvie! lol) Still, I made those characters for the sake of Lunar. So I won't be recycling them into actual OCs just yet (if ever.)
Let's get on a lighter note now.
With LA out of the way, perhaps now I can finally start my own original works. It's all I've been thinking about this entire day, and honestly I feel...glad. I want to do more original stuff. I want to show what I can really do. That I can create fun characters, fun stories...not based on an already existing universe. I want to create my own world(s).
I mean, I admit here and now, I'm probably not the most 'original' person around...but hey, I don't aim to be the best at what I do...I do it for fun and I'm always happy to know if there's at least one person who likes what I do.
Obviously I seem to draw Renna A LOT since I created her...XD;; so I'm actually really interested in working on her own story. I don't know how much longer she'll be a Tales character. I've only RPed with her twice I think...I'm not sure if my RP partner was ever as interested/anxious as I was though about that RP...shame, cause I had ideas I wanted to do...but I guess I'll just save those ideas for an actual story! So I guess it works out in the end. If he wants to actually RP Tales then sure, I'll probably still use Renna. But I do believe I am going to start working on the more 'original' side of things with her. Basically the same on how I was with Erin/Nazumi.
The Renna Story. Obviously has no actual title yet lmao.--Since she was apart of a 'Tales of the World' RP, some ideas I had involved time-traveling, summon spirits, and elemental magic. I'm not gonna lie, some reason I always love doing elemental-based stuff. Fuck if I know why. Going original, I'm not sure how (or if) I'll do the time-traveling jig and the summon spirits would definitely need to be original if I keep that idea.
--Renna's the main character. If story is done in novel form (more than likely will be in the beginning) it'll be in her POV. Renna's really...annoying and spunky. I love her. XD I've done some writing (fan-character side unfortunately) of her and it's been so fun. X3 Her element is fire. Although she knows very light healing spells too (her late mother was a nurse.) For the main story, she's 15 and she's training to become a Knight, like her father. She's sorta fueled with a desire to become stronger and protect the ones she loves. Her mother died from an unknown illness when she was only 8. Renna felt horrible because her healing wasn't enough to save her mother...before her mother passed away, she gave her a necklace--a strange red-sphere that appeared to have a flame trapped inside it. Renna doesn't know what exactly this strange pendent is, only seeing it as a memento from mom, but she eventually learns that it amplifies her fire magic. The RP I was doing with her involved a search for other pendents of different elements that needed to be gathered before something evil happened. We didn't get too far with that idea, but I might still work on it...
Anyways, when Renna is 14, she leaves her father and sister to travel to the Kingdom of Askan, where she seeks to be trained to become a Knight, like her father was back in the day. She's not too experienced with a sword as she is with magic, so the Captain (who's an uber jackass as well as the second main character of this story haha) isn't exactly excited about this new recruit. Renna undergoes training under a Senior Knight, who helps her learn to handle her sword a little better. After a few months, she is sent to train under the Captain himself. The two don't exactly get along, but Renna's determined to gain his acceptance no matter what. He suggested that her hair was far too long and would get in the way of her fighting (suggested as in said something like this: "You're hair is so ridiculously long. I don't understand how you can fight with so much hair flying around. It could easily get caught in the midst of battle. Blah blah. I swear, this is more trouble than it's worth.") Really he just finds stuff to bitch about. But Renna considers it and cuts it 'for both their sake'. Eventually a year passes, and Renna is sent on her first 'solo-mission' on becoming a Knight. Her objective is to find the one who possesses the power to control water...
There's a lot more I want to put but I want to work things out a little more beforehand. Also the 'one who controls water' is my friend's character, and I don't want to be stealing other peoples character(s) without permission. Perhaps I'll make a character based off of his. I've been working on a short story for some time...it's for Tales Renna, but I might go back and rewrite some of it to make it OC-Renna...It'll basically be the prologue to whatever this story is I guess.
Other random facts: Renna has an uber sweet-tooth. Also she can't swim, so her greatest fear is water/drowning. Aqua-phobia.
--The second main character doesn't have a name yet. He's inspired from Leon Magnus, I will admit. But I'm hoping when I start actually making him, he'll be different enough...still, I want him to retain his 'jackass' nature. Yay for angry people. Plus, there's no fun if there isn't a srs character for Renna to constantly annoy. His element is earth. He's the Captain of the Guard and is 18-years-old (main story, 17 when he meets Renna) Other than that, I'm still working on him to make him less and less like Leon. Although I kinda want to keep his sweet-tooth trait cause I think that would be fun for me and Renna, haha. But still...I worry. Hm.........
I dunno...still lots of thinking going on...basically going to be a story of those two working together most of the time, whether they like it or not, eventually coming to accept one another (very slowly though. No fun if they become BFFs too soon, hurhur) and of course meeting/making new friends/allies along the way. I'm aiming for one thing mostly: fun. I've already said that word a few times lol. But that's what I like the most. I like a story that's 'fun'. I like animes that are 'fun'. Something that puts a smile on one's face through jokes and gags, but keeps someone interested with a struggle of sorts.
I'm not sure what I'm saying lol.
HIKAGE, the Reiko story.Though the word means 'darkness', I see it more as a name. (Reiko's last name, derp.) This is her story afterall.
I haven't worked on it as much as I've wanted to unfortunately. The idea I'm getting is probably a struggle between two sisters? Inner-struggles with Reiko herself too.
This story will feature characters from friends. The only one who's done a profile though is Bonnie, the owner of
Kanaa who is Reiko's eldest sister/mom-like figure.

We somewhat talked and I think we are alright for the time being. According to him, he put his foot down to his girlfriend and hopefully from now on he will be standing up for himself. They're still together, but I'm fine if he really will start standing up for himself...I've given him another chance so he better not let me down.

. She was really nice. Really, really nice. And fun to talk to. XD I got an awesome Hiei commission out of her. I probably would've suggested Leon but someone happened to mention YYH and she said she remembered how to draw Kurama and Hiei from the top of her head so I went with Hiei. We called it 'Bitchin Hiei' cause he's all angry, of course. XD
and her boyfriend sat at a table and offered Free Advice. XD It's amazing how many people actually come for Free Advice too! Katt and Alex are really good with that and people seem to really enjoy it. 
! We didn't talk too much Saturday, but we (me and Sam) hung out a lot today. We ate at Waffle House, hung out in the Artist Alley, talked to some artists there (who were also uber nice!
