I've seen a few work out. I've seen a lot that don't. I've even had my share of it.

oh, and shine on with your bad self.
i've been in three online relationships in my entire life: UK (3 weeks), california (3 months), and germany (8 months).
all my friends know that i'm in a relationship right now and have been for over 2 years. but online relationships were a lot different. there was a lot more work to hear each other, to see each other. a lot more love and attention was shown to one another or the relationship began to fall apart.
in rl relationships, you see the person almost every day. go out on a regular to semi-regular basis. it's a lot materialistic then loving. well, most are. i think everyone should just, at least once in their life, go through with an online relationship be it 3 weeks or 8 months.
it's hard but it'll definitely make you stronger as a person.
so i guess my answer would be "in a relationships, support online relationships, and would be in one." XD;;;

I feel like if you've progressed far enough with a relationship on the internet and you really feel like you can trust the person, then it's all right. I probably wouldn't do one though. I need physical affection as well as emotional.

I support my pairings based not on the genders of the characters involved, but on the quality and compatibility of the characters.
