I've been randomly thinking about the main character of my Lunar story, Kai.

Kye looks cool, and is pronounced the same as Kai (or at least I want it to be so blah)and to me, I think that spelling seems to fit more into the world of Lunar...

Well..If you want the pronunciation to be Kai, then i'd stick with Kai..Cause i'm pretty sure Kye has quite a different pronunciation
